Damien Wilson, President
Damien is an experienced commercial real estate and structured finance professional with more than 20 years of experience in community development financing, public-private partnership financing, and commercial real estate development advisory with a proven track record of executing complicated structured finance transactions.
Prior to starting WD Advisors, Damien was co-founder and Partner with Monge Capital Advisors (“MCA”). While with MCA, Damien was responsible for originating, underwriting, and providing advisory services for commercial real estate projects, including a niche focus on New Markets Tax Credit (“NMTC”) financing. While with MCA, Damien and the MCA team executed over $1 billion of complex tax credit transactions with public-private partnership financing.
Damien also serves as Head of HBCU Brilliance Initiative, Lending for Reinvestment Fund, a mission-driven nonprofit organization. In this role, he is primarily responsible for providing technical and financial support to position HBCUs to make critical investments in their facilities, financial stability, and long-term growth to better serve their institutional missions.
Damien graduated from the Wharton School with a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Entrepreneurial Management. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Morehouse College.
